An agent key that echoes the x-litellm-user-id / x-litellm-team-id headers
forwarded by /a2a is capped at that user's and team's models, MCP servers
and agents, on top of its own grants and access group ceiling. The echoed
ids only narrow, and nested A2A hops forward the original human caller

A team_allowed_routes entry that names no path segment, such as * or /*, is a blanket grant like a named route group, so it no longer opens auth=true passthroughs. The grant in the shared route check now also requires a team on the JWT token, because team_allowed_routes should not apply to a JWT that resolved no team
Password login now stamps login_method=username_password into the UI session key
metadata, and change_password rejects any caller that is not a litellm-dashboard
key carrying that marker with 403 before the user row is read. SSO sessions and
user-associated virtual keys can no longer use the endpoint as a current_password
guessing oracle. The forced-reset session is still minted by the password login
path, so it keeps access to the endpoint

Explicit paths and trailing-wildcard prefixes in litellm_jwtauth.team_allowed_routes
passed the JWT route check but were then denied by the auth-enforced passthrough
gates, which only read allowed_passthrough_routes from key or team metadata. Both
gates now also accept an explicit team_allowed_routes entry for tokens built by JWT
auth. Named route groups still never grant, and virtual keys, including JWT-mapped
ones, stay key-scoped
Cherry-pick of merge commit b3882d8e43 (PRs #39321, #39562, #40107), which landed on litellm_internal_staging instead of main.

Rotating through POST /key/regenerate needs a running proxy, which a refused boot does not have. The refusal now counts the stored values that decrypt under the unsafe key. When there are none it only asks for a new key. When there are some it also asks for LITELLM_MIGRATE_FROM_MASTER_KEY, and the next boot with a safe key re-encrypts them and logs that the variable can be deleted. Leaving the variable set afterwards is a no-op with one notice.
The proxy used to boot with no master key (every request accepted without
authentication) and with sk-1234, the key every example used. It now stops at
startup, before it connects to the database, and prints how to fix it: where the
bad key came from, a copy-pastable command that generates a secure key, and,
when the public key is also encrypting a database, a link to the rotation guide
general_settings.dangerously_allow_unsafe_proxy: true or
LITELLM_DANGEROUSLY_ALLOW_UNSAFE_PROXY=true starts the proxy anyway, for local
development. CI and test boots that rely on sk-1234 or on no key set it
BREAKING CHANGE: deployments with no master key, an empty one, or sk-1234 no
longer start until they set a real key or opt in to the override
The last-known org copy was written only on get_org_object's DB-read path. The
virtual-key auth prefetch fills the same 5s org entry directly, so with keys and
JWTs of one org on the same worker the JWT lookup always hit the cache, never
wrote the copy, and a DB outage turned that JWT traffic into 503s again.
get_org_object_for_request now writes the copy itself whenever this worker holds
none, under the management-object TTL, and get_org_object is back to its shape
on main.
A JWT whose team sits in an org resolves the org on every request, and the
org row is cached for only DEFAULT_IN_MEMORY_TTL seconds while the team and
user rows ride the 60s management-object TTL. A few seconds into a database
outage the org lookup failed closed and that traffic got 503s while the same
request through a virtual key kept succeeding on its cached team.
get_org_object now also keeps a last-known copy of the org row under the
management-object TTL, and get_org_object_for_request serves that copy when
the database is unreachable, so JWT traffic degrades the same way the team
lookup does. A missing copy keeps the previous behaviour: fail closed unless
allow_requests_on_db_unavailable is set.
A project max_budget of 0 was treated as unbudgeted by #41354, while key budgets block at 0 and null is the unlimited value. Drop the <= 0 skip so 0 blocks and null stays unlimited
#41515 added the cost map entry transcribe/StartTranscriptionJob under a
new litellm_provider value "transcribe" without registering that provider
anywhere else, so litellm.models_by_provider had no "transcribe" key.
test_models_by_provider derives its provider set from the cost map itself,
so it went red on main. The user-visible half is that get_provider_models
returned None for the provider, which get_known_models_from_wildcard turns
into an empty list, leaving a transcribe/* key or team grant resolving to
no models.
Mirror the aws_polly registration: an enum member, a model set, an
ingestion branch, and a models_by_provider entry. Amazon Transcribe is
reached through the pass-through route rather than the Add Model form, so
it joins the frozen unlisted set the Add Model drift test tracks.
Adds a projects entry to the team_admin_editable_team_fields setting. When set, team admins (legacy admins list or members_with_roles role admin) can call /project/new and /project/update for the teams they administer. The two routes join self_managed_routes so the endpoint check runs instead of the route gate's blanket 401. /project/delete stays proxy admin only
