HyperTwist Repo Incorporation Audit
Date: 2026-05-11
Important correction added on 2026-05-11:
onionhoney/roux-trainersshould be treated as the only currently verified restrictive repo that was properly clean-roomed and then implemented.- the live restrictive surfaces found in this pass should therefore be read as evidence of a landed clean-room lane, not as proof of an unresolved accidental donor import.
- the current next move for that lane is documentation parity and continued explicit custody, not mass quarantine by default.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
Aarav2709/KubeTimris now a currently verified live permissive lane throughPhase 3R-A.- it is live through first-party Unreal source implementation rather than the materialized training-catalog bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
Hypercubers/hypercubing.xyzis now a currently verified live permissive lane throughPhase 3R-B.- it is live through first-party Unreal knowledge-reference code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through the direct training-deck bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
apache/echartsis now a currently verified live permissive lane throughPhase 3R-C.- it is live through first-party Unreal analytics-report code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through the direct training-deck bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
google/model-vieweris now a currently verified live permissive lane throughPhase 3R-D.- it is live through first-party Unreal browser-viewer and asset-QA contract code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through the direct training-deck bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
met4citizen/TalkingHeadis now a currently verified live permissive lane throughPhase 3R-E.- it is live through first-party Unreal embodied-companion contract code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through the direct training-deck bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
mrdoob/three.js,pmndrs/react-three-fiber, andpmndrs/xrare now currently verified live permissive lanes throughPhase 3R-F.- they are live through first-party Unreal browser spatial contract code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through the direct training-deck bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
cubing/cubing.jsis now a currently verified live boundary-sensitive lane throughPhase 4R-A.- it is live through first-party Unreal classic-cubing contract code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through the direct training-deck bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
cutelyaware/magiccube4dis now a currently verified live boundary-sensitive lane throughPhase 4R-B.- it is live through first-party Unreal legacy
4Dcontract code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through the direct training-deck bundle path used by the earlier five permissive donor lanes in this audit.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
google/model-viewer/packages/shared-assetsis now a currently verified live boundary-sensitive lane throughPhase 4R-C.- it is live through first-party Unreal shared-assets allowlist, provenance-boundary, fixture-refresh contract code, and bundled reference-target materialization rather than through direct donor asset import into owned source.
Important correction added on 2026-05-13:
PostHog/posthogis now a currently verified live boundary-sensitive lane throughPhase 4R-D.- it is live through first-party Unreal control-plane contract code plus bundled reference-target materialization rather than through donor shell adoption or any carryover from the excluded
ee/subtree.
Scope
- Current repo set audited: the 71
HyperTwistrows indocs/repo_portfolio_unified_source_audit_v6_3.csv. - Live project surface checked:
UnrealHyperTwist/Source/UnrealHyperTwist/UnrealHyperTwist/Content/HyperTwistTraining/MaterializedCatalog/
- Excluded from the live-incorporation check:
mirrors/zippedreposource/docs/refs/- generated
Intermediate/
- Conservative rule used here:
live materialized: the live Unreal project contains exact repo attribution and/or materialized bundle content traced to that repo.queued but not live: current docs sayintegrateorrepurpose, but no exact live project evidence was found in the checked Unreal surfaces.future candidate: current docs sayfuture candidate, and no exact live project evidence was found.
- Important limitation:
- this is a conservative current-state incorporation audit, not a proof of zero semantic reuse.
- absence from this report's live-evidence bucket does not prove that no human ever looked at a donor repo while writing first-party code.
- it does prove that this pass did not find exact repo-tagged incorporation evidence inside the checked live Unreal project surfaces.
2026-05-14 interpretation update
This audit is now explicitly an implementation-state artifact, not a default evaluation step.
Future instances must not use bookmark presence, queue presence, planning artifacts, or doc metadata as proof of implementation.
Future instances must also not treat this audit as something every ordinary repo evaluation needs to rerun.
Default rule:
- assume a repo is not implemented unless explicit implementation authority or an implementation-state-dependent task requires proof otherwise
- verify live or product-surface incorporation only when the active task actually depends on current implementation state
Use HYPERTWIST_REPO_INTAKE_RETENTION_AND_PRODUCT_FIT_DOCTRINE_2026-05-14.md and HYPERTWIST_MODEL_A_MODEL_B_COORDINATOR_DOCTRINE_2026-05-14.md as the canonical rule for that distinction.

Partly implemented
No exact source_attribution_only rows were found in the audited 71-repo set.
Under this pass, the permissive HyperTwist rows are split cleanly into either:
live materialized, orqueued but not live, orfuture candidate
Queued but not live
These rows are donor-approved or integration-shaped in the current docs, but this pass did not find exact live Unreal project evidence for them.

Restricted, custom, or unclear bucket
This section covers GPL-3.0, All Rights Reserved, no explicit license, MPL, mixed restrictive postures, and custom terms.
Live materialized
Only one restrictive lane in the current 71-row HyperTwist set showed live materialized Unreal evidence.
| Repo | License | Current docs posture | Deck import specs | Raw extract records | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
onionhoney/roux-trainers |
GPL-3.0 | repurpose / reverse engineer preferred | 17 | 270 | Live restrictive-static and restrictive-generative materialization is present in the Unreal training catalog through the currently accepted clean-room lane |
Critical detail:
UnrealHyperTwist/Content/HyperTwistTraining/MaterializedCatalog/raw-extracts/restrictive-static-exercises.jsonlcontains exact algorithm-case surfaces with origin paths back tomirrors/restrictive/onionhoney/roux-trainers/src/lib/Algs.tsx.UnrealHyperTwist/Content/HyperTwistTraining/MaterializedCatalog/raw-extracts/restrictive-generative-exercise-surfaces.jsonlcontains generator/mode surfaces with origin paths back tomirrors/restrictive/onionhoney/roux-trainers/README.mdandsrc/Config.tsx.UnrealHyperTwist/Source/UnrealHyperTwist/Private/HyperTwistBootstrap/HyperTwistContractLibrary.cppalso carries a clean-room attribution stub for the same repo.
That means this restrictive lane is not merely planned. It is live in the current project content surface and should be treated as the only currently verified restrictive clean-room lane already implemented.
Partly implemented
No exact source_attribution_only rows were found in the audited 71-repo set.
Under this pass, the restricted/custom/unclear rows are split cleanly into either:

Queued but not live
These rows are active or donor-shaped in docs, but this pass did not find exact live Unreal evidence for them.

Additional live donor surfaces outside the current 71-row HyperTwist set
These are not part of the current 71-repo shallow-eval set, but they are live in the Unreal training materialization layer and should not be ignored in provenance work.
| Source | Current surface | Count signal | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
SpeedCubeDB |
retained web content | 185 runtime bundles / 185 direct donor deck specs + 2 rewritten reference targets | Live retained-web-content incorporation surface; broad advanced and multi-puzzle algorithm corpus beneath the first-party catalog layer plus a narrow rewritten reference side for Advanced 3x3 Systems |
CubingApp |
retained web content | 25 direct donor deck specs | Live retained-web-content incorporation surface; narrower one-handed and shaped-subset adjunct beneath the first-party catalog layer; no live rewritten reference targets currently materialized |
Use HYPERTWIST_TRAINING_CATALOG_RETAINED_WEB_CONTENT_PROVENANCE_BOARD_2026-05-27.md for the current first-party owner split and the exact retained-web-content grounding role of these two live catalog sources.
Use
HYPERTWIST_SPEEDCUBEDB_REFERENCE_INCORPORATION_PROVENANCE_BOARD_2026-05-27.md
for the adjacent rewritten reference-target side of the current SpeedCubeDB
live surface.
Current saveability view
Clearly salvageable without a new clean-room pass
These currently live lanes are under permissive direct-donor posture and can be preserved with ordinary notice and attribution handling:
Aarav2709/KubeTimrapache/echartsabunickabhi/5style-Trainergoogle/model-viewerHypercubers/hypercubing.xyzmrdoob/three.jspmndrs/react-three-fiberpmndrs/xrtao-yu/Alg-TrainerLykos/cube_trainermet4citizen/TalkingHeadpoliva/cubedexnewyork-anthonyng/rubiks-cross-trainer
Boundary-sensitive but already live through explicit adapter posture
cubing/cubing.js- preserve as the landed first-party classic-cubing adapter lane
- keep the explicit
MPLnotice and publication-duty boundary visible - do not reinterpret this lane as a quiet private fork simply because it is now live
cutelyaware/magiccube4d- preserve as the landed first-party legacy
4Dhistory, macro, interaction, topology-reference, and provenance-boundary lane - keep the explicit attribution, upstream-link, and
MyMathprovenance duties visible - do not reinterpret this lane as permission for donor Swing-shell carryover simply because it is now live
- preserve as the landed first-party legacy
Also important:
- the many permissive rows listed as
queued but not livedo not currently show live Unreal incorporation evidence in this pass. - those should not be mass-reverted because there is nothing live here, in this pass, to revert from the checked Unreal surfaces.
Restrictive lane already landed through clean-room
onionhoney/roux-trainers- live restrictive static and generative extract surfaces are present now
- this is the only currently verified restrictive repo that was properly clean-roomed and then implemented
- the required next move is to keep the clean-room chain visible and explicit in every canonical doc
Not currently evidenced as live in this Unreal pass
The following sensitive or high-risk lanes showed no exact live Unreal evidence here:
cs0x7f/cstimercubing/alg.jscubing/twisty.jskash/cubedeskHactarCE/Hyperspeedcubekkoomen/qbrroice3/Magic120Cellroice3/MagicCube5Droice3/MagicTile
That does not make them legally cleared or deeply audited. It only means this pass did not find exact live incorporation evidence for them inside the checked Unreal project surfaces.
Recommended next implementation slice
The retained-web-content deck and reference provenance-board passes for the
additional live non-71 surfaces are now complete, including SpeedCubeDB,
CubingApp, superliminal.com, and Superliminal Wiki.
The retained-web-content reference side, the screenpipe/screenpipe
capture-history reference side, the remotion-dev/remotion media-export
reference side, the PostHog/posthog control-plane reference side, and the
google/model-viewer/packages/shared-assets fixture/provenance reference side
are now explicit, and the cutelyaware/magiccube4d legacy 4D reference side
is now explicit too, and the cubing/cubing.js classic-cubing semantic and
compliance reference side is now explicit too.
The met4citizen/TalkingHead embodied companion and narration reference side
is now explicit too, and the apache/echarts analytics and report reference
side is now explicit too, and the Hypercubers/hypercubing.xyz knowledge,
taxonomy, and leaderboard/report reference side is now explicit too, and the
mrdoob/three.js browser scene and renderer reference side is now explicit
too, and the pmndrs/react-three-fiber React renderer and event-bridge
reference side is now explicit too, and the pmndrs/xr XR session and
immersive-interaction reference side is now explicit too, and the
pmndrs/uikit world-anchored spatial UI reference side is now explicit too,
and the pmndrs/postprocessing browser post-processing and effect-boundary
reference side is now explicit too.
The next clean bounded move is a source-backed pass on the remaining
repo-backed reference-incorporation families whose hierarchy or canon
follow-through is still only implicit in
hypertwist-reference-incorporation-targets.json, starting with
pmndrs/drei if you want the adjacent helper-stack and utility reference side
closed to the same standard.
