- **The isolation/namespacing model** — each container tag maps to its own vector namespace (`memoryNamespace` / `chunkNamespace` in `apps/api/src/services/vectordb/namespace.ts`), so retrieval never leaks across tags.
- **Auto-creation** — adding a memory with a new tag auto-creates the backing `space` (upsert on `(container_tag, org_id)`).
- **Naming rules** — `≤ 100` chars, pattern `^[a-zA-Z0-9_:-]+$`, taken straight from `containerTagValidator` in `packages/validation/api.ts`. Notes the colon for hierarchical tags.
- **`containerTag` (current) vs `containerTags` (deprecated array)** — matches the deprecation in the validation schemas and the `/v4` API.
- **Lifecycle usage** — add / search / list / update / delete.
