You use the same Supermemory account across two surfaces. Personal Brain is where you live with your memory day to day. The Developer Console is where you manage the API.

## Organizations
Your account can belong to more than one organization. The selected organization controls what data appears on both surfaces. Switch organizations from the selector before you save, search, or expect to see a specific memory.
## Why memories sometimes look missing
If something you saved isn't showing up, check two things first:
- The **organization** currently selected
- The **Space** you saved into, and the Space you're searching in

Spaces let you keep different parts of your memory organized and separate. Save into the Space that matches the context, and search stays scoped to what you actually want back.
## What a Space is
A Space is a named container inside your Personal Brain. Common ways people split them:
- **Personal** for life, notes, and reading
- **Work** for your job in general
- **Research** for a topic you're going deep on
- **A client** you're working with
- **A coding project** you switch in and out of

- **Where content is saved** when you add something new
- **The scope of search** when you look something up
- **What a connected tool can see** when it saves or recalls on your behalf
## Create and select a Space

## Spaces and Projects
Some coding tools use the word **Project** for a selected memory workspace. When you set up one of those tools, the Project you choose is how that tool refers to the Space it's pointed at.
## Moving, merging, and deleting
When you delete a Space, the app can offer to move its data to another Space before deletion so you don't lose what's inside.

Don't delete a Space until you've confirmed the destination. Once a Space is deleted without moving its data, that content is gone.

## Connected tools
Each connected tool saves and recalls against a specific workspace. When you set up an integration or switch which Space it uses, confirm the selected workspace inside that tool so its saves and searches land where you expect.

- Share Sheet behavior varies by app. Some apps only pass a URL, others pass selected text.
## How to troubleshoot Apple Shortcuts
- **The shortcut fails to run.** Confirm the active organization and Space, and that you installed the shortcut from Personal Brain Integrations.
- **A saved memory did not appear.** Check that it finished processing and lives in the Space the shortcut targets.

- **Sign in loops.** Sign in to Supermemory at [app.supermemory.ai](https://app.supermemory.ai) first, then reopen the extension.
- **ChatGPT memories did not import.** Confirm ChatGPT and Supermemory are signed in through the same Chrome profile, then reopen **Imports** and try again.
- **X bookmarks did not import.** Confirm you're signed in to X in the same Chrome profile, then reopen **Imports** and try again.

- Rich content like files is best added from the Supermemory app or a Space aware integration.
## How to troubleshoot Poke
- **Nothing was saved.** Check the active organization and Space, and confirm the Poke recipe is enabled.
- **A recall came back empty.** Confirm the memory finished processing in Personal Brain and that it lives in the Space Poke is pointed at.
- **Poke says it is not connected.** Reopen the recipe from Personal Brain Integrations and confirm the connection status.

- This is an import of existing bookmarks, not a continuous sync unless the product UI explicitly says so.
- Imports land in the Space selected at the start of the import. Move memories between Spaces from Personal Brain if you picked the wrong one.
- Large bookmark libraries take longer to finish processing.

- **Bookmarks didn't appear.** Check the active organization, active Space, and connection status for the X integration.
- **Some bookmarks are missing.** Confirm the import finished and that individual memories finished processing.
