Co-Authored-By: Devin AI <158243242+devin-ai-integration[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* feat(tokenizer): give the Rust wrappers the tiktoken and tokenizers surface
Callers of litellm.encoding and litellm.create_tokenizer must see the same
read-only API whichever backend the catalog selects.
- OpenAIEncoding mirrors tiktoken.Encoding: n_vocab, max_token_value,
token_byte_values, encode_single_token, encode_with_unstable,
encode_to_numpy, decode_with_offsets, is_special_token, repr; the Rust
tiktoken crate keeps a Vocabulary beside each CoreBPE and reports the
requested encoding name (gpt2 stays gpt2).
- HuggingFaceTokenizer mirrors the read-only tokenizers.Tokenizer surface
(token_to_id, id_to_token, get_vocab, get_vocab_size,
get_added_tokens_decoder, num_special_tokens_to_add, padding, truncation,
encode_special_tokens, from_buffer); HuggingFaceEncoding gains the
char/word/token lookups, pad, truncate, set_sequence_id and merge.
Mutators stay on the Python tokenizer.
- from_json/from_pretrained claim the fork gate only when the huggingface
feature is compiled in; the surrogate fallback matches on the Codec.
- Tokenizer caching is keyed on the same catalog Context the dispatch runs
on; rust_tokenizer reads the encoding name without loading an encoding;
LITELLM_RUST parsing is cached.
- Drop the unused tiktoken_encoding_for_model export and Error::Download.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(tokenizer): close the exhaustive matches with assert_never
CodeQL reads a `match` over a Literal with no default arm as an implicit
`None` return. `assert_never` makes the exhaustiveness explicit for both the
HuggingFace tokenizer loader and the Rust token-counter factory.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(tokenizer): derive the fast counter from the shared tokenizer
The count-only counter (`fast` feature) and the codec each parsed the same
artifact: TokenCounter took the Anthropic JSON and the tiktoken rank files
from Python while Tokenizer loaded them again. One parse now serves both.
- FastTokenizer builds from a model another loader holds: `from_shared`
takes the Arc<tokenizers::Tokenizer> the HF codec keeps, and
`from_*_pairs` take the ranks the tiktoken vocabulary already parsed.
- `FastCounter::fast_counter` in the core crate derives it from either codec;
encodings the fast scanner does not reproduce are refused.
- Native `Tokenizer.count(text, fast=False)` opts into that counter, built
once per tokenizer on first use; `TokenCounter.from_tokenizer(tokenizer,
fast=False)` replaces the JSON and rank-file constructors.
- The Python route counts over the native tokenizers the codec path shares
(`native_encoding`, `native_anthropic`) and no longer reads rank files;
the packaged Anthropic tokenizer has one loader, `tokenizer_dispatch.anthropic`.
- Public wrappers gain `count(text, fast=False)`.

Adds integration contracts for MCP lifecycle, protocol errors and OAuth
configuration, A2A wire versions, the OpenAI consumer path, persisted
toolsets, callback delivery, guardrail effects, configured prices, the
filtered spend ledger, and a CircleCI-owned browser flow for project
detachment, with the ASGI, browser-state, client and MCP helpers they use.
Consolidates the eleven commits previously stacked on
litellm_integration_providers onto its rebased tip
The workflow now triggers on pull_request instead of pull_request_target, which the auto-approve one-pager and the 2026-06-18 CI exposure post-mortem both forbid, and the job skips fork PRs since the read-only token cannot label them. The floor now follows the rubric's author row (Devin-opened low, human-opened medium, fork high) through a new authors.low list, and adds a paths.medium list for agent instruction files, conftest, helm, and docker. Two guards compare both sides of a file through git show: model map rows that change or disappear stop being low, and a budget file that raises a limit stops being low. A skip or importorskip call added to an existing test file with no net new test scores high. The last 400 staging merges score 218 high, 179 medium, 3 low; the author row alone moves 37 human-opened docs and test PRs from low to medium
The workflow now runs on pull_request_target so the base branch's copy of
the script and config scores every PR, forks included, and a PR can no
longer edit the gate that scores it. The PR head is only ever read as a
diff. Forks are passed --from-fork so the author factor is live
The diff parser reads git renames, so a pure move counts zero lines and
both paths take part in the paths and modules factors. The size factor
counts only files outside the docs, tests, and model map tiers, and
.only( joins the silenced-test markers
Config: every pyproject.toml is always-human, the MCP auth, credential,
OAuth, and discovery files are always-human, and the lint budget files
are low. The last 400 staging merges now score 217 high, 139 medium,
44 low
The author factor now only raises a PR to high when it comes from a fork,
so an internal human-opened docs or test-only PR can reach the low tier
the one-pager's tier 0 needs. Over the last 400 staging merges that moves
the low count from 2 to 29 with no reverted merge among them
Skip markers only count when they silence a test unconditionally:
pytest.mark.skipif, unittest.skipIf/skipUnless, a guarded pytest.skip(),
and Playwright's conditional test.skip(cond, reason) no longer rank a PR
high. Test directories anywhere in the tree count as test files, and the
enterprise auth and management endpoint packages join the always-human
paths
Vercel now lists video and embedding models without token pricing or token
limits, and the first of them KeyError'd the whole weekly run before any
provider was synced. Those rows are skipped, and a failed catalog fetch for
any provider now yields an empty transform instead of a crash.
The transform now declares reasoning_effort_levels straight from the catalog's
effort options instead of mapping them onto per-level support flags, which
mis-advertised efforts these models do not take. max_tokens mirrors
max_completion_tokens rather than context_length, supports_prompt_caching is
derived from cache-read pricing, video input is read from input_modalities, and
a failed Friendli fetch no longer breaks the weekly sync run. The committed
friendliai entries are regenerated from the live catalog: stale gemma-4 token
caps refreshed, the delisted K-EXAONE-236B-A23B entry dropped, and GLM-5.3 /
GLM-5.3-Flash picked up with current billed pricing.
The merged detector's 0.6 flag threshold had become the close bar, and 6 of the 7 real flagged pairs at 85% or more were not duplicates. The sweep now closes only when an older open issue has the identical normalized title, measures the grace period from the latest bot notice, and leaves the issue open when anyone replies or gives the notice a thumbs down.
A reporter cannot reopen an issue the bot closed, so a reporter comment after the automatic close reopens it, drops the duplicate label, and asks for a human look. Manual dispatch defaults to a dry run and takes a grace_period_days input, the runner supplies the repository, the dead python closer is gone, and the decision core has bun tests on a PR-triggered job.
Adds a scheduled GitHub Actions lane on top of the merged record/replay
transport. A Saturday cron records the `replayable` e2e tests against the
real providers and publishes the fixture bundle as a private
`e2e-fixtures-bundle` artifact with a SHA-256 sidecar. Weekday crons pull
that artifact by its pinned digest, verify the checksum before extracting,
and replay it with provider credentials set to bogus values, so a run that
ever reached a real provider fails instead of passing.
An egress sentinel pins the provider hostnames to a local sink for the whole
replay job and counts every connection that reaches them; the job asserts
that count is zero, so hermeticity is proven by measurement. A red Saturday
publishes no bundle, so the next weekday finds nothing fresh and fails loudly
rather than replaying a week-old recording, and the transport's seven-day
freshness gate hard-fails any bundle that has drifted too far. The lane also
runs on demand from the Actions tab with a record/replay `mode` input.
Tests join the lane with `@pytest.mark.replayable`. The streaming Anthropic
test now counts to twenty so its recorded response banks several content
deltas, matching the assertion that the stream arrives incrementally.
The allowlist recorded eight files in tests/local_testing, 118 tests, that
every job globbing that directory then deselects: local_testing_part1 and
part2 carry `-k "... and not caching and not cache"`, and the other three keep
one unrelated keyword each. They counted as covered while running nowhere.
Five of the eight need nothing. Measured with no provider credentials and no
Redis: test_cache_preset_key, test_caching_handler, test_prompt_caching,
test_responses_stream_cache_keys and test_unit_test_caching pass, 45 tests
together, and they now run as a caching-local shard. The other three stay
allowlisted with what they actually need recorded rather than a question:
test_caching wants Redis and a provider key for 37 of its 65, disk-cache wants
OPENAI_API_KEY for 2 of 4, gcs-cache wants GCS credentials for all 4.
Taking them off the allowlist exposed a gap in the slice guard itself: it
reasoned only about CircleCI `-k` expressions, so a file every slice drops read
as unrun even when a workflow names it outright. It now credits workflow
test-paths the way the census already does, and only workflows, so a tree only
CircleCI globs is still reported.
Greptile P1: _effort_flags only wrote True for enabled levels, so
sync_local_data_with_remote's merge left stale True flags when
Friendli dropped an effort level from reasoning_options.
Address Greptile review:
- P1: transform_friendli_data now writes a concrete True/False for every
capability it owns (tool_call, vision, image_input, response_schema,
reasoning, etc.) so a later sync never leaves a stale True from a
previous API response when the provider drops that capability
- P2: removed section banners, docstrings, and inline comments added by
this change per CLAUDE.md (no new comments unless explicitly asked)
