* chore(trace): checkpoint ongoing Rust migration
* refactor(trace): group Python bridge under trace package
* refactor(traces): read span conventions through a Convention trait
Each span format (Claude Code, LangSmith, OpenInference, gen_ai) now lives under
normalize/convention/ as a unit struct implementing Convention, owning both its
detection and its extraction. Precedence is one ordered registry instead of an
if-chain in mod.rs that reached into each module differently.
The modules now share one way to read attributes: present() for the first
non-empty key and Payload for a text that also reports the key it consumed,
replacing three different idioms and the &mut Vec threaded through payload
readers. Instrumentation::adjust returns a new Extraction instead of mutating
one, with each SDK rule as its own function, and the LangChain middleware
suffix list exists once.

* test(rust): group cache tests under cache/ and fold test_ocr.py into ocr/
The two failure cases in test_ocr.py duplicated the upstream-500 and timeout rows
of PUBLIC_FAILURES, so only the file-input encoding case moves to ocr/test_requests.py

* test(rust): split the response cache suite into one file per backend
test_response_cache.py grew to 2400 lines. Each backend now has its own file, shared
fixtures live in cache/conftest.py and shared helpers in support/cache.py. The helpers
alias the private native test handles once, dropping the per-call reportPrivateUsage hits

* split tokenizer test
* test(core): consolidate route integration tests under tests/ with rstest and wiremock
Moves the public-API OCR route tests out of src/ocr/route.rs and document.rs into
tests/ocr/, split per provider plus lifecycle, machine, and document tests, merging
the duplicated pairs. Messages, audio transcription, and chat completions share one
wiremock-based upstream and recording secret source in tests/support, and gain
table-driven cases for auth, routing, upstream errors, streaming, and declines.
Tests of litellm-llms items move to that crate.

* test(messages): keep the stream relay test independent of the stream head contents
The stream head carries no headers on main, so the relay test asserts the
open-then-deliver order and the relayed body instead of header hand-off.

Mirror the Redis vertical slice for S3Cache: a litellm-cache-s3 crate built on aws-sdk-s3 with path-style custom endpoints, python-identical put_object metadata (cache-control, expires, content headers), expires-aware get_object, and no-op flush/unsupported test_connection. Wire it through python-bridge config projection, facade guards, test handle, and binding dispatch, plus an in-process S3 stub and parity tests.

Children spawned as [sys.executable, -c, ...] put the working directory first on sys.path, so under 'make test-rust-extension' a source checkout shadows the installed wheel and the child imports a litellm with no compiled extension. A shared helper spawns them with -I and asserts the child resolved the same litellm.__file__ as the parent, and a new TQ009 rule flags un-isolated sys.executable spawns.

Replace the module-level LATEST_EDITS list with per-example callback
registry isolation, and import litellm names with from-imports in the
legacy callback shim so the module uses one import style.

The Rust bridge imported httpx to construct the provider error response, which
fails in the isolated wheel check where httpx is absent. Rust now raises
RustUpstreamError with a headers attribute and the Python lifecycle wraps it in
a typed UpstreamFailure carrying the httpx.Response before legacy mapping.
Test helpers gained call_native so pytest.raises blocks hold a single call
