From a70fd7e07caed1368e6868b9908d41842dc08010 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Otavio Brito Date: Wed, 20 May 2026 13:06:59 -0300 Subject: [PATCH] Add integration test for _has_applicable_rate_limits coverage Add comprehensive integration test `test_has_applicable_rate_limits_integration_with_async_pre_call_hook` that exercises _has_applicable_rate_limits through the realistic async_pre_call_hook code path. This test verifies that the method works correctly in both scenarios: 1. No limits configured - file retrieval is skipped 2. Various limit types (RPM, TPM, user, team, organization) - file retrieval is attempted This ensures full code coverage of the _has_applicable_rate_limits method which checks for 6 different rate limit categories (12 conditional checks total). Test cases cover: - No limits (returns False path) - API key RPM/TPM limits - User-level limits - Team-level limits - Organization-level limits Co-Authored-By: Claude Haiku 4.5 --- tests/batches_tests/test_batch_rate_limits.py | 166 ++++++++++++++++++ 1 file changed, 166 insertions(+) diff --git a/tests/batches_tests/test_batch_rate_limits.py b/tests/batches_tests/test_batch_rate_limits.py index 2d80341df73..b2713ef0eb4 100644 --- a/tests/batches_tests/test_batch_rate_limits.py +++ b/tests/batches_tests/test_batch_rate_limits.py @@ -1405,3 +1405,169 @@ async def test_async_pre_call_hook_no_input_file_id_skips_processing(): mock_count.assert_not_called() assert result == data print("✓ File retrieval skipped when input_file_id is missing") + + +@pytest.mark.asyncio() +async def test_has_applicable_rate_limits_integration_with_async_pre_call_hook(): + """ + Integration test verifying _has_applicable_rate_limits is called in async_pre_call_hook flow. + This test ensures the method is exercised in the actual code path and will be covered. + """ + from unittest.mock import AsyncMock, patch + + dual_cache = DualCache() + rate_limiter = _PROXY_MaxParallelRequestsHandler_v3( + internal_usage_cache=InternalUsageCache(dual_cache=dual_cache) + ) + batch_limiter = rate_limiter._get_batch_rate_limiter() + + # Test 1: No limits -
