This fix addresses Issue #10473 where users received "The provided model identifier is invalid" error when using AWS Bedrock with models like Qwen while cross-region inference was enabled. Changes: - Add BEDROCK_CROSS_REGION_INFERENCE_MODEL_IDS constant listing models that support cross-region inference (Anthropic Claude models only) - Modify getModel() to check if model supports cross-region inference before applying the region prefix - Update tests to reflect the new behavior When cross-region inference is enabled but a model does not support it (e.g., Qwen, Amazon Nova, Meta Llama), the prefix is now silently skipped instead of being applied and causing an invalid model identifier error. |
